All computer needs an operating system to function. in early days(and even to day also) the commonly use operating system was disk operating system or commonly known DOS. it is a single user character mode based operating system. we have to understant and learn of commands to work and operate the computer and it was not at all user friend ly. To over come the short comings of Disk Operating System and to make the operating system more powerfull and user friendly, a new operating system was lunched by Microsoft USA.
